Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Shop till you drop at Salamanca Arts Centre and The Wicked Cheese Co.. Do some cultural sightseeing at Richmond Gaol and Moorilla Estate Winery. Take a break from Hobart with a short trip to Russell Falls in Mount Field National Park, about 1h 10 min away. The adventure continues: kick back and relax at Seven Mile Beach, take a leisurely stroll along Constitution Dock, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Old and New Art (Mona), and look for all kinds of wild species at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary.
