Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis and Grindelwald Museum. Step out of the city life by going to Maennlichen and Jungfraujoch. Change things up with these side-trips from Grindelwald: Trümmelbachfälle (in Lauterbrunnen) and Zermatt (The Matterhorn & Mountaineers' Cemetery). The capital and political center of Switzerland, Bern sits on a peninsula formed by the U-shaped River Aare.
Shop till you drop at UNESCO-Altstadt von Bern and Gysi AG Chocolatier Suisse. Einstein House (Einsteinhaus) and Simsonbrunnen will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bern: Lenkerseeli/Spielplatz (in Lenk im Simmental), Thun-Panorama (in Thun) and Neuchatel (Jeunes Rives & Creux du Van). Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
Patek Philippe Museum and Maison Tavel will appeal to museum buffs. Chateau de Chillon and Cathedrale de Lausanne will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Geneva side-trips: The Olympic Museum Lausanne (Musee Olympique) (in Lausanne) and Chaplin's World (in Corsier-sur-Vevey). There's much more to do: kick back and relax at Bains des Paquis, admire the local landmark of The Geneva Water Fountain, see the interesting displays at House of Basketball, and get great views at Cathedrale de St-Pierre.

The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
You'll get in some beach time at Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen and Ufschotti Park. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich) and Uhrenmuseum Beyer Zürich.
