Modern yet historic, Málaga is a lively city famous for being the birthplace of Pablo Picasso.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Playa La Carihuela and Cabopino Beach. Get a sense of the local culture at Castillo de Gibralfaro and Museos del aguardiente anisado de Rute y Espana. Get out of town with these interesting Malaga side-trips: Antequera (Lobo Park, Dolmen de Menga, &more), Riding Fun In The Sun (in Casares) and Museo del Azucar (in Rute). There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at CAC Malaga Contemporary Art Center, get outside with Adventure Rider Centre, tour the pleasant surroundings at Carvajal Beach, and explore the ancient world of Teatro Romano.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Málaga Airport, Jerez Airport and Sevilla Airport. In February in Malaga, expect temperatures between 64°F during the day and 47°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Thu) so you can drive to Nerja.

Nerja is a municipality on the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Start off your visit on the 6th (Fri): take in the spiritual surroundings of Church of El Salvador, examine the collection at Museo de Nerja, then stroll through Nerja Donkey Sanctuary, and finally stroll through Burriana Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: see the interesting displays at Galvez House Museum, then do a tasting at Bodegas Bentomiz, and then take an in-depth tour of Museo Almazara.

Traveling by car from Malaga to Nerja takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Malaga in March, expect Nerja to be a bit cooler, temps between 62°F and 41°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 8th (Sun) to allow time for the car ride to Granada.

Granada boasts numerous well-preserved examples of exquisite Moorish architecture, not the least of which is the Alhambra, an ancient citadel and royal palace.
Visit Mirador de San Nicolas and Archive Saint John of God Museum for their historical value. Museum-lovers will appreciate Casa-Museo de Manuel de Falla and Monasterio de la Concepcion. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Granada: Banos de la Encima Castle (in Banos de la Encina), Parque Natural Sierra de Andujar (in Andujar) and Guadix Cathedral (in Guadix). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Iberfauna, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Iglesia De La Virgen De Las Angustias, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia del Sagrario, and steep yourself in history at Plaza de los Aljibes.

You can drive from Nerja to Granada in 1.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In March, daily temperatures in Granada can reach 61°F, while at night they dip to 41°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Wed) early enough to drive to Seville.

Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Granada in March since evenings lows in Seville dip to 47°F. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 14th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a bus back home.
