Busan is known for beaches, shopping, and historic sites. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggung Temple, browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, snap pictures at Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach.

Getting from Busan to Gyeongju by car takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. In October, daily temperatures in Gyeongju can reach 23°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 23rd (Fri) early enough to go by car to Sokcho.
