Sagres

Though the town of Sagres has roots in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, it is better known by visitors as a peaceful, rugged resort spot with great surfing beaches.
On the 28th (Sun), get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, enjoy the sand and surf at Mareta Beach, then visit a coastal fixture at Cape Saint Vincent, and finally contemplate the long history of Fortaleza de Sagres. On the 29th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Praia da Luz, steep yourself in history at Fort of Santo Antonio de Belixe, and then get outside with Praia do Beliche.
