Although its history goes back a thousand years, Gdansk represents one of Poland's most modern urban centers, its thriving economy boosted by a lively tourism sector.
Family-friendly places like Jelitkowo Beach and Oliwa Zoo will thrill your kids. Step out of Gdansk with an excursion to Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku in Malbork--about 56 minutes away. One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
