Fondly referred to as “El Sur” by the locals, Maspalomas serves as a hub of entertainment and beach activity on Gran Canary Island.
We've included these beaches for you: Las Canteras Beach and Playa de Amadores. Vegueta and Casa de Colon are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Maspalomas: Teror (Finca de Osorio, Plaza Teresa de Bolivar, & more), Valleseco (Cortijo De Calderetas, Barranco de la Virgen, & more) and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Casa del Perfume Canario, Catedral de Santa Ana, & more). Spend the 2nd (Tue) exploring nature at Reserva Natural Especial de Guigui. There's much more to do: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, explore the fascinating underground world of Barranco de Guayadeque, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa de Maspalomas, and delve into the lush surroundings at Tamadaba.
