You can do a combination of flight and train from Ishigaki to Hiroshima in 4.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or do a combination of flight and ferry. Traveling from Ishigaki in May, things will get slightly colder in Hiroshima: highs are around 28°C and lows about 18°C.
