Christchurch, New Zealand to Tokyo is an approximately 17- hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly; or do a combination of bus, taxi, and flight. You'll gain 3 hours traveling from Christchurch to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Christchurch, expect colder days and slightly colder nights in Tokyo, ranging from highs of 11°C to lows of 1°C.
