Kick off your visit on the 26th (Sat): kick back and relax at Sunayama Beach, take in the views from Irabu Bridge, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Yonaha Maehama Beach. Start off your visit on the 28th (Mon): admire the sheer force of Kanpiree Waterfall and then get outside with Outdoor Activities. Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.

While traveling from Ishigaki, expect little chillier days and colder nights in Hiroshima, ranging from highs of 20°C to lows of 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sat) so you can take a train to Kyoto.
