Visit Tak'alik Ab'aj and Catedral del Espiritu Santo for their historical value. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Xetulul Theme Park and Laguna Chicabal. Venture out of the city with trips to Xocomil (in Retalhuleu) and Fuentes Georginas (in Zunil). The adventure continues: get impressive views of Santa Maria Volcano, stop by Yabal Handicrafts, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at La Ermita de la Concepcion (La Conquistadora).
