Located near the memorial park marking the site of one of the largest Civil War battles, the town of Gettysburg sits in a landscape of rolling green hills with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes General Lee's Headquarters Museum, Battlefield Military Museum, Gettysburg Heritage Center, and other attractions you added. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Mister Ed's Elephant Museum and Pennsylvania Dutch Market. Museum-lovers will get to explore Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum and Rupp House. Venture out of the city with trips to Winchester (Rocking S Ranch, Patsy Cline Historic House, &more), Cumberland (Paw Paw Tunnel & Great Allegheny Passage) and Carlisle (Carlisle Barracks & Cumberland County Historical Society).
