Built on seven hills, Lisbon has experienced a renaissance in recent years, making it the cultural star of Portugal.
Shop till you drop at Avenida da Liberdade and A Outra Face da Lua. The adventure continues: take a stroll through Belém Tower, look for gifts at Port and Douro Wines Institute, shop like a local with Rossio Square, and buy something for everyone on your list at Armazens do Chiado.

Traveling by flight from Madrid to Paris takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and shuttle; or drive. Traveling from Madrid in November, expect nights in Paris to be about the same, around 6°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Fri) to allow time to take a train to Amsterdam.
