A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Louvre Museum and Le Marais are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Visit Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris and Île de la Cité for their historical value. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Musee d'Orsay, get a taste of the local shopping with Champs-Elysees, stroll the grounds of The Paris Catacombs, and admire the striking features of Arc de Triomphe.

Traveling by train from London to Paris takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. The time zone changes from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Central European Time (CET), which is usually a 1 hour difference. August in Paris sees daily highs of 29°C and lows of 16°C at night. On the 18th (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can take a train to Amsterdam.

Get outdoors at Zandvoort aan Zee and MokumBoat. Do some cultural sightseeing at Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House. You can take a train from Paris to Amsterdam in 3.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. When traveling from Paris in August, plan for slightly colder days and about the same nights in Amsterdam: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 15°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Thu) to allow time to travel to Rome.

Traveling by flight from Amsterdam to Rome takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive.
