Colombia's heart and soul, Bogota has earned the nickname "Athens of South America" thanks to its abundance of universities, libraries, and lower-level schools.
Shop till you drop at Barrio La Candelaria and Vinos Express. Escape the urban bustle at Monserrate and Laguna de Guatavita. And it doesn't end there: see the interesting displays at Gold Museum (Museo del Oro), get into the urban bustle at Centro Internacional de Negocios y Exposiciones, browse the different shops at Multiplaza Bogota, and admire the masterpieces at Museo Botero del Banco de la Republica.

Porto, Portugal to Bogota is an approximately 13-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of bus and flight. Nestled between rising hills in a narrow valley, Medellin serves as an energetic melting pot of people from all socio-economic classes.
Do your shopping at Mayorca Mega Plaza and Plaza Minorista. Get in touch with nature at Parque Arvi and 2000m Descent and more.
