As the political and cultural capital of China, Beijing stands at the heart of Chinese history, buzzing with the energy of its high population density and centuries of importance.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum, Beijing Zoo, Beijing Botanical Garden, and other attractions you added. Step off the beaten path and head to Walking tours and Peking Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling (Song Qingling Guju). Xi'an
Historians often describe Xi'an, capital city for over a dozen dynasties, as the birthplace of Chinese civilization.
Xi'an Mosque and Small Goose Pagoda will appeal to history buffs. Discover out-of-the-way places like Shaanxi History Museum and Tomb of Emperor Jingdi (Hanyangling). Take a break from Xi'an with a short trip to Niubeiliang Mountain Nature Reserve in Zhashui County, about 1h 25 min away. There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, admire the masterpieces at Tang Bo Art Museum, contemplate the long history of Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta), and explore the ancient world of Dacien Temple.

With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Shanghai Confucian Temple, Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai World Financial Center, and other attractions you added. Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum and Shanghai Developemt Exhibition Hall will appeal to museum buffs. Step off the beaten path and head to Longhua Temple and Jinji Lake. Step out of Shanghai to go to Suzhou and see Suzhou West Hill Scenic Area, which is approximately 2 hours away. Traveling by flight from Guilin to Shanghai takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. Traveling from Guilin in October, expect nights in Shanghai to be about the same, around 19°C, while days are little chillier, around 28°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
