Navigating through a maze of colorful streets winding up and down steep hills remains an integral part of any Valparaiso tour.

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to Valparaiso is an approximately 19.5-hour combination of flight and car. When traveling from Port of Spain in November, plan for much colder days and slightly colder nights in Valparaiso: temperatures range from 24°C by day to 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) to allow enough time to take a bus to Santiago.

Santiago tourism thrives largely thanks to the city's big selection of cultural and entertainment options, including museums, theaters, restaurants, bars, and giant malls.
Change things up with a short trip to Concha y Toro in Pirque (about 38 minutes away). There's still lots to do: stroll through San Cristóbal Hill, see the interesting displays at La Chascona, make a trip to Plaza de Armas, and enjoy breathtaking views from Sky Costanera.

A city of 40,000 people, Ancud was the capital of Chiloe Archipelago until it was superseded by the city of Castro in 1982.
On the 4th (Wed), visit a coastal fixture at Faro Corona en Chiloe, then see the interesting displays at Museo Regional de Ancud, and then head off the coast to Isla Aucar. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: get outside with Pinguineras and then look for all kinds of wild species at Chiloe Island Penguin Colony.

Do a combination of flight and bus from Santiago to Ancud in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In December, daily temperatures in Ancud can reach 20°C, while at night they dip to 9°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Thu) so you can take a bus to Castro.
