More populous than the capital and La Paz, and one of the fastest-growing cities in the world, Santa Cruz has become a thriving commercial center, yet retained some of the trappings of tradition.
Spend the 11th (Thu) exploring nature at Amboro National Park. Spend the 12th (Fri) exploring nature at Kaa-Iya National Park. There's much more to do: make a trip to Plaza 24 de Septiembre, admire the masterpieces at Museo de Arte Sacro "Monsenor Carlos Geriche Suarez", take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesias de la Chiquitania, and take in nature's colorful creations at Guembe.
