Moscow, Russia to Almaty is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone difference when traveling from Moscow to Almaty is 3 hours. Traveling from Moscow in August, things will get a bit warmer in Almaty: highs are around 34°C and lows about 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Bishkek.

Getting from Karakol to Dushanbe by combination of car and flight takes about 8 hours. Other options: drive. The time zone changes from Kirgizstan Time to Tajikistan Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. In August, daily temperatures in Dushanbe can reach 42°C, while at night they dip to 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Tashkent.
