East London, South Africa to Singapore is an approximately 17.5-hour flight. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from East London to Singapore due to the time zone difference. Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from East London in March: high temperatures in Singapore hover around 38°C and lows are around 30°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can travel to Taipei.

Situated in a basin between two mountain ranges, Taipei appeals to tourists with its blend of Asian cultures, living side by side amidst Japanese-era mansions and Taoist temples.

Traveling by flight from Singapore to Taipei takes 8.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of car and ferry. In March, Taipei is slightly colder than Singapore - with highs of 25°C and lows of 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Taichung.

Known its good weather, Taichung boasts an interesting set of cultural attractions, including many temples showing the development of religious architectural styles in the area and forming focal points for most tours of Taichung.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Taichung: Hehuan Mountain (Hehuanshan) (in Ren'ai Township), Ali Mountain (Alishan) (in Xinyi Township) and Yuchi (Sun Moon Lake, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, &more). There's still lots to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Yuan Zuei Shao Lai Shan, enjoy some diversion at Zhenqian Renai Park, stop by Mark Taiwan, and make a trip to Luce Chapel.

Traveling by car from Taipei to Taichung takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 25°C, and evening lows to 16°C. You'll have a few hours on the 15th (Sun) to wrap things up before traveling home.
