Shirahama-cho

A popular resort town with many hot springs and long, man-made white sand beaches, Shirahama-cho draws scores of tourists.You'll find plenty of places to visit near Shirahama-cho: Oishi Highland (in Kimino-cho), Aragijima (in Aridagawa-cho) and Tanabe (Yunomine Oji Ruins, Kumano Observation Deck, &more). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Toretore Market Nanki Shirahama, kick back and relax at Kujirahama Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and soak in some Japanese tradition at some of the top local onsens.
