Though the town of Sagres has roots in the Portuguese Age of Discovery, it is better known by visitors as a peaceful, rugged resort spot with great surfing beaches.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Thu): contemplate the long history of Ponta do Castelo, then stroll through Praia do Amado, then stroll through Vale Figueiras Beach, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Telheiro Beach. On your second day here, visit a coastal fixture at Cape Saint Vincent, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, kick back and relax at Praia do Zavial, then stroll through Praia da Cordoama, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Bordeira Beach.
