The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.

Utena is a city in north-east Lithuania. Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): examine the collection at Angels Museum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Apostle Evangelist St. Matthew, contemplate the long history of The Historical Complex of Seimyniskeliai Mound, then stop by Utenio Square, then stroll around VestuviU Kalnas, and finally walk around Dauniskio Park. Šiauliai is the fourth largest city in Lithuania, with a population of 133,900. On the 7th (Sun), look for gifts at Akropolis, see the interesting displays at Siauliai Ausros Museum, then don't miss a visit to Chaimas Frenkelis Vila, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Siauliai Saint Disciple Peter and Paul Cathedral.
