Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ginza and Asakusa. Next up on the itinerary: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Senso-ji Temple, stop by Odaiba District, take in nature's colorful creations at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and wander the streets of Takeshita Street.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Do your shopping at Dotombori District and Nishiki Market Shopping District. Visit Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Nijo Castle for their historical value. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Toji, and explore the historical opulence of Osaka Castle.

Take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. In May in Kyoto, expect temperatures between °C during the day and °C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Fri) so you can travel to Onna-son.

Onna-son

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sat): see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, stop by Onna Station Nakayukui Market, and then steep yourself in history at Okinawa Peace Memorial Park. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Nakijin Castle Ruins and then browse the different shops at AEONMALL OKINAWA RYCOM.

You can fly from Kyoto to Onna-son in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of train, ferry, and taxi; or do a combination of train, ferry, and bus.
