Go for a jaunt from Nagoya to Chita to see Shinmaiko Marine Park about 48 minutes away. On the 28th (Sun), take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, step into the grandiose world of Himeji Castle, steep yourself in history at Nishi no Maru, thentake in the spiritual surroundings of Yoneda Taishiji Temple, and finally take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takamikura.

You can take a train from Osaka to Himeji in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Osaka in July, plan for little chillier days and about the same nights in Himeji: temperatures range from °C by day to °C at night.
