Museum-lovers will get to explore Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and Matsuura Historical Museum. Glover Garden and Nagasaki Peace Park are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Nagasaki side-trips: Nagushiyama Park (in Sasebo), Hirado (Temple and the Church Scenery & Francisco de Xavier Memorial Church) and Karatsu (Nijino Matsubara & Onsen Resorts). The adventure continues: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sōfuku-ji Temple, see the interesting displays at Nagasaki Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb Victims, pause for some serene contemplation at Ōura Church, and don't miss a visit to World Peace Symbol Zone.

Traveling by combination of train and flight from Narita to Nagasaki takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive. Expect a bit warmer evenings in Nagasaki when traveling from Narita in March, with lows around 8°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Kumamoto.
