Sitting at the foot of Mount Fuji, Hakone-machi has become a popular retreat from Tokyo for locals and tourists alike.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Onshi Hakone Park as well as Lake Ashi (Ashinoko). On the 9th (Thu), admire the masterpieces at Okada Museum of Art and then admire the masterpieces at The Hakone Open-Air Museum. Traveling from Kyoto in June, expect nights in Hakone-machi to be about the same, around 65°F, while days are slightly colder, around 68°F.
