Kahului, USA to Tokyo is an approximately 12.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 19 hours traveling from Kahului to Tokyo. Traveling from Kahului in December, expect Tokyo to be colder, temps between 54°F and 39°F. You'll have a few hours on the 26th (Thu) to wrap things up before traveling to Nikko.
