One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes The National Folk Museum of Korea, Deoksugung, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and other attractions you added. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Cheonggyecheon Stream and National Museum of Korea. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Dongdaemun Gate (Heunginjimun) and Waryongmyo Shrine. Spend the 3rd (Wed) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. Istanbul, Turkey to Seoul is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of shuttle and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern European Time (EET) to Korea Standard Time (KST), which is usually a 6 hour difference. Traveling from Istanbul in March, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be much colder in Seoul, with lows of 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 3rd (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Tokyo.

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Ginza as well as Yokojitsuken River Shinsui Park. Get a sense of the local culture at Sensō-ji and Akihabara. Step out of the city life by going to Ueno Zoo and Mt. Iwatake Ishiyama. Explore Tokyo's surroundings by going to Ghibli Museum Mitaka (in Mitaka) and Yokohama Nature Sanctuary (in Sakae). There's much more to do: take a stroll through Odaiba, examine the collection at Edo-Tokyo Museum, take in nature's colorful creations at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and admire the landmark architecture of Tokyo Tower.

Traveling by flight from Seoul to Tokyo takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry. In April, daytime highs in Tokyo are 22°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. You'll have a few hours on the 8th (Mon) to wrap things up before traveling to Nagoya.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You'll explore and learn at Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts Fureaikan and Namikawa Yasuyuki Sippo Memorial Museum. Gion and Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine are good opportunities to explore the local culture. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sanjusangendo Temple, explore the world behind art at Hosomi Museum, and look for gifts at Fuuka-Kimono.

You can take a train from Nagoya to Kyoto in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. While traveling from Nagoya, expect somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Kyoto, ranging from highs of 22°C to lows of 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Fri) early enough to take a train to Okayama.
