Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Get some cultural insight at Piazza San Marco and Scrovegni Chapel. Doge's Palace and St Mark's Campanile will appeal to history buffs. Next up on the itinerary: admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco, take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, appreciate the extensive heritage of Centro Storico di Venezia, and steep yourself in history at Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo.
