Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Colosseum and Pantheon. Discover out-of-the-way places like Arcibasilica di San Giovanni in Laterano and Duomo di Orvieto. Take a break from Rome with a short trip to Civita di Bagnoregio in Bagnoregio, about 1h 40 min away. There's much more to do: explore the ancient world of Palatine Hill, steep yourself in history at Roman Forum, pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria in Trastevere, and ponder the design of Trevi Fountain.

Plan my trip to Rome with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

Buenos Aires, Argentina to Rome is an approximately 16.5- hour combination of shuttle and flight. You can also fly; or do a combination of shuttle, flight, and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 4 hours traveling from Buenos Aires to Rome. Plan for somewhat warmer temperatures traveling from Buenos Aires in September, with highs in Rome at 32°C and lows at 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Assisi.
