On India's western coastline, the former Portuguese colony of Goa tells a visibly different story than the rest of India.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Mon): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Shanta Durga Temple and then enjoy the sand and surf at Palolem Beach. On the 3rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take a stroll through Old Goa, contemplate the long history of Mahalaxmi Temple, and then admire the landmark architecture of Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Zagreb, Croatia to Goa is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and taxi; or drive. The time zone difference moving from Central European Time to India Standard Time is 4 hours. Only one word accurately describes India's commercial capital Mumbai: big.
Get some historical perspective at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Mount Mary Basilica. Get a sense of the local culture at Shree Siddhivinayak and Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum. Take a break from Mumbai with a short trip to St.John the Baptist Church in Thane, about 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Gateway of India, get engrossed in the history at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, enjoy the sand and surf at Chowpatty Beach, and wander the streets of Dharavi.

You can do a combination of bus and flight from Goa to Mumbai in 5.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a train. When traveling from Goa in March, plan for a bit warmer days and slightly colder nights in Mumbai: temperatures range from 39°C by day to 24°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) early enough to travel to Port Blair.

Visit Wandoor Beach and Corbyn's Cove for some beach relaxation. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Cellular Jail and Anthropological Museum.
