A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Get some cultural insight at Royce' Chocolate World and The Hokkaido University Museum. Get outdoors at Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort and Mount Tarumae. Take a break from Sapporo with a short trip to Otaru Wine Gallery in Otaru, about 58 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: get outside with Sapporo Teine, test the waters at a local thermal spa, get engrossed in the history at Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), and examine the collection at Hokkaido Museum Morino Charenga.
