A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Bring the kids along to Shiroi Koibito Park and Kokuei Takino Suzuran Hillside National Park. Singapore, Singapore to Sapporo is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Singapore Time (SGT) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 1 hour difference. Traveling from Singapore in April, expect Sapporo to be colder, temps between 9°C and 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Fri) early enough to go by car to Furano.

Situated in the center of the island, Furano has become known for its idyllic rural landscape, and the drastic changes it experiences as seasons shift.
Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): admire the natural beauty at Farm Tomita, look for gifts at Campana Rokkatei, then admire the natural beauty at Garden of Wind, then fly down the slopes at Furano Ski Resort, and finally make a trip to Ningle Terrace. Getting from Sapporo to Furano by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. While traveling from Sapporo, expect a bit warmer days and slightly colder nights in Furano, ranging from highs of 20°C to lows of 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sun) so you can travel to Biei-cho.

Getting from Furano to Biei-cho by combination of train and taxi takes about an hour. Other options: do a combination of bus and taxi; or drive. In May, daily temperatures in Biei-cho can reach 20°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Tue) early enough to drive to Asahikawa.

When traveling from Biei-cho in May, plan for little chillier days in Asahikawa, with highs around 17°C, while nights are a bit warmer with lows around 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to catch the train to Sapporo.
