"Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and, most notably, the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and known as the Alpine Capital of the World.
You've now added Musee Chateau to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): steep yourself in history at Musee Chateau, then get great views at Aiguille du Midi, and then fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour. Keep things going the next day: take in the awesome beauty at Brevent Cable Car.

Cairo, Egypt to Chamonix is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of flight and bus. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and ferry. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Cairo to Chamonix due to the time zone difference. On the 4th (Mon), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Lyon.

Get outdoors at Parc de la Tete d'Or and Les Pertes de le Valserine. You'll explore and learn at Hôtel-Dieu Museum Musée de l'Hôtel-Dieu and Musee Miniature et Cinema. Step out of Lyon to go to Saint-Pierre-la-Bourlhonne and see Col du Beal, which is approximately 1h 50 min away. Next up on the itinerary: admire the landmark architecture of Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere and get to know the fascinating history of Vieux Lyon.
