A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Take a break from the city and head to Île de la Cité and Paris Plage. Your inner history buff will appreciate Eiffel Tower and Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Go for a jaunt from Paris to Versailles to see Palace of Versailles about 48 minutes away. There's lots more to do: don't miss a visit to Louvre Museum, admire the landmark architecture of Arc de Triomphe, take a stroll through Place de la Bastille, and explore the world behind art at Musee Jacquemart-Andre.

Dinard is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in northwestern France.Dinard is on the Côte d'Émeraude of Brittany. Step out of the city life by going to Plage Saint-Martin-de-Brehal and Plage de Pen Guen. Family-friendly places like Plages de St-Jacut-de-la-Mer and La Grande Plage des Rosaires will thrill your kids. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dinard: Plage de la Pissotte (in Saint-Cast le Guildo) and Alligator Bay (in Beauvoir).

An ancient town center surrounded by medieval ramparts, Avignon is a major city of Provence and a Mediterranean city in the Vaucluse department on the left bank of the Rhône River.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Tue): step into the grandiose world of Palais des Papes, then make a trip to Pont d'Avignon, then make a trip to Street of Dyers (Rue de Teinturiers), and finally step off the mainland to explore Ile de la Barthelasse.

The 2013 European "Capital of Culture," Marseille is the largest port city on the breezy Mediterranean coast and the second largest city in France.
Visit Chateau d'If and Pavillon de Vendome for their historical value. Get in touch with nature at Plage du Verdon and Plage de la Pointe Rouge. Venture out of the city with trips to Aix-en-Provence (Paul Cezanne’s Studio & Paroisse Cathédrale Saint Sauveur Aix-en-Provence). The adventure continues: stroll around Parc Balneaire du Prado.

Drive from Avignon to Marseille in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In August in Marseille, expect temperatures between 35°C during the day and 22°C at night. On the 22nd (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Cannes.

Although its luxury shops, nightlife, casinos, and high-end restaurants give Cannes a feeling of exclusivity, this classic French Riviera city has alternatives to suit every budget.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Castel Plage and Palmes Beach. Kids will appreciate attractions like Lérins Islands and Diamond Diving. Step out of Cannes to go to St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and see Paloma Beach, which is approximately 46 minutes away.
