Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Saint-Paul de Vence and Palais Lascaris will appeal to history buffs. Kids will enjoy Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild and La cité médiévale. Step out of Nice to go to Menton and see Palmes Beach, which is approximately 32 minutes away. There's lots more to do: contemplate the long history of Place Garibaldi, get great views at Colline du Chateau overlook, kick back and relax at Castel Plage, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chapelle du Rosaire.
