Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Get a sense of the local culture at Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild and Promenade Le Corbusier. Get some historical perspective at Saint-Paul de Vence and Vieille Ville. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Musée Marc Chagall, steep yourself in history at Villa Kerylos, hunt for treasures at Marche aux Fleurs Cours Saleya, and hike along Saint Jean-Cap-Ferrat Hike.

Although its luxury shops, nightlife, casinos, and high-end restaurants give Cannes a feeling of exclusivity, this classic French Riviera city has alternatives to suit every budget.
Escape the urban bustle at Lérins Islands and Sentier du littoral - Le Lavandou - Plage de la Fossette. For shopping fun, head to La Croisette or Rue d'Antibes. Venture out of the city with trips to Forteresse Medievale De Gourdon (in Gourdon), Musee Jean-Honore Fragonard (in Grasse) and Domaine Sainte Marie (in Bormes-Les-Mimosas).
