Start off your visit on the 27th (Fri): make a trip to Pantheon, admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, then steep yourself in history at Palatine Hill, and finally delve into the distant past at Colosseum. On the 28th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di San Pietro, then admire the masterpieces at Vatican Museums, and then don't miss a visit to Piazza Navona.

Cusco, Peru to Rome is an approximately 18-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Cusco to Rome. Traveling from Cusco in July, you will find days in Rome are a bit warmer (37°C), and nights are much hotter (24°C). Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sun) early enough to catch the train to Florence.
