On the 1st (Sun), see the interesting displays at National Railway Museum, identify plant and animal life at York Bird of Prey Centre, then steep yourself in history at Treasurer's House, then take in the spiritual surroundings of York Minster, and finally contemplate the long history of York City Walls. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Mon): get engrossed in the history at York Castle Museum, then head outdoors with Yearsley Pool, and then take a stroll through York Shambles.
