Rakvere is a town in northern Estonia and the county seat of Lääne-Viru County, 20 km south of the Gulf of Finland.HistoryThe earliest signs of human settlement dating back to the 3rd–5th centuries AD have been found on the present theatre hill. You can drive from Parnu to Rakvere in 2.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. Expect little chillier evenings in Rakvere when traveling from Parnu in July, with lows around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Sat) to allow enough time to fly to Saaremaa.
