Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Step out of the city life by going to Raptor Refuge and Seven Mile Beach. Step off the beaten path and head to Wine Tours & Tastings and Long Beach. Venture out of the city with trips to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (in Brighton) and Boat Tours & Water Sports (in Kettering). The adventure continues: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Wellington, look for gifts at Sweets and Treats, take a peaceful walk through Myrtle Forest, and brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Lark Distillery.
