The financial hub of Switzerland, Zurich is most often associated with money and banks.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Museum Rietberg and Museum of Art (Kunsthaus Zurich). Take a break from the city and head to Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen and Mt Pilatus. Step out of Zurich with an excursion to Hofkirche in Lucerne--about 1 hour away. There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Town, admire the landmark architecture of Fraumünster Church, examine the collection at Uhrenmuseum Beyer Zürich, and explore the different monuments and memorials at Friedhof Fluntern.

Johannesburg, South Africa to Zurich is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Johannesburg to Zurich. Traveling from Johannesburg in June, expect Zurich to be a bit warmer, temps between 27°C and 15°C.
