The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Spirited Garden and Hallim Park. Explore hidden gems such as Hamdeok Beach and Sangumburi Crater. Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff, Jeongbang Waterfall, & more). There's much more to do: explore the striking landscape at Geomunoreum, stroll through Sinpung Sincheon Bada Mokjang, admire the natural beauty at Kim Kyung-Sook Sunflower Farm, and enjoy the sand and surf at Gwakji Gwamul Beach.

Singapore, Singapore to Jeju is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time (SGT) to Korea Standard Time (KST) is 1 hour. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Wed) so you can travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like UN Memorial Cemetery and Haedong Yonggung Temple. Relax by the water at Songdo Beach and Gwangalli Beach. There's much more to do: relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, walk around Yongdusan Park, kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple.

You can fly from Jeju to Busan in 3 hours. Other options are to do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. In December, plan for daily highs up to 10°C, and evening lows to 0°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 29th (Sun), contemplate the long history of Gyeongju Historic Area, then examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, then steep yourself in history at Bulguksa Temple, and finally appreciate the history behind Seokguram. On your second day here, contemplate the waterfront views at Anapji Pond, steep yourself in history at Cheonmachong Tomb, then steep yourself in history at Oksan Seowon, and finally steep yourself in history at Yangdong Folk Village.

You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. While traveling from Busan, expect slightly colder days and about the same nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 3°C to lows of 0°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Mon) early enough to go by car to Gangneung.

A large coastal city, Gangneung has been historically separated from much of the country because of the long, stretching mountain range that runs parallel to the sea.
Kick off your visit on the 31st (Tue): kick back and relax at Jeongdongjin Beach, then kick back and relax at Gyeongpo Beach, and then examine the collection at Ojukheon.

Getting from Gyeongju to Gangneung by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Tue) so you can take a train to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Gyeongbokgung Palace and Hwaseong Fortress are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Insadong, admire the natural beauty at Changdeokgung Palace, wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, and get engrossed in the history at Deoksugung.

Getting from Gangneung to Seoul by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In December, daily temperatures in Seoul can reach 3°C, while at night they dip to -5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 4th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
