Named after the pre-Columbian culture that once lived in the area, Quimbaya remains best known for its coffee plantations and agricultural heritage.
Head to Region Paisaje / Landscape Region and Portal del Quindiofor plenty of shopping. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museo Rayo and Parroquia Jesus Maria y Jose. Explore Quimbaya's surroundings by going to Salento (Bosques de Cocora, Iglesia Nuestra Senora del Carmen, &more), Cartago (Iglesia de Guadalupe, Parque de la Isleta, &more) and Filandia (Plazoleta de los Toldos & El Palacio del Barbas). Pack the 22nd (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Parque del Cafe. Pack the 29th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Panaca. There's much more to do: admire the sheer force of Balsaje la Berraquera, don't miss a visit to Eje cafetero (Zona Cafetera), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesa de Armenia, and take an in-depth tour of Museo del Oro Quimbaya.

In April, plan for daily highs up to 32°C, and evening lows to 20°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
