With a World Heritage-listed old town, Quebec City remains a walkable and safe hub of culture, commerce, and education offering a blend of fascinating history and a range of tourist-oriented activities.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Vallee Bras-du-Nord and Fortifications of Quebec National Historic Site. Escape the urban bustle at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency and Sentier des Caps. When in Quebec City, make a side trip to see Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre in Sainte Anne de Beaupre, approximately Sainte Anne de Beaupre away. There's lots more to do: stop by Old Quebec, get thoroughly spooked out with a ghost and vampire tour, steep yourself in history at Royal Battery, and pause for some photo ops at Do Re Mi Fa Sol la Si Do Quebec.
