Unvanquished City

Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Explore Porto's surroundings by going to Falua Massage Studio (in Povoa de Varzim), Nau Quinhentista (in Vila do Conde) and Coimbra (Torre da Universidade de Coimbra, Jardim Botanico, &more). Dedicate the 17th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: snap pictures at Ponte de Dom Luis I, do a tasting at Pocas Vinhos, steep yourself in history at Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), and relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour.
