Called "Oporto" by many, the city of Porto along the Duoro River lent the country and Port wine their names. Portugal's second-largest metropolis dates back to the 4th century, representing both a rich cultural past and industrial present through its architecture and style.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Santuario Nossa Senhora dos Remedios and Sameiro Sanctuary. Step out of the city life by going to Praia da Costa Nova and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Explore Porto's surroundings by going to Se de Braga (in Braga) and Largo da Oliveira (in Guimaraes). Nazaré is a town and a municipality in subregion Oeste and Leiria District, in Portugal.It is one of the most popular seaside resorts in the Silver Coast/Costa de Prata, Portugal. Start off your visit on the 27th (Wed): make a trip to Forte de Sao Miguel, get great views at Miradouro do Suberco, then pause for some serene contemplation at Church of Nossa Senhora da Nazaré, and finally stroll through Praia da Nazare. On the 28th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Capelas Imperfeitas, take in the spiritual surroundings of Capela Das Aparicoes, then contemplate the long history of Pegoes Aqueduct, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Praia do Norte.

Drive from Porto to Nazare in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. In May, daytime highs in Nazare are 24°C, while nighttime lows are 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Lagos.

The allure of the beaches and the town's historical center draw visitors to Lagos, a coastal destination in the Barlavento region of the Algarve.
Get a sense of the local culture at Lagos Farol da Ponta da Piedade and Faro Cathedral. Visit Praia Dona Ana and Praia do Camilo for some beach relaxation. Step out of Lagos with an excursion to Praia Grande in Ferragudo--about 34 minutes away.
