Occupying a cool, scenic position up in the hills, Sagada shows little colonial Spanish influence, unlike much of the country.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): take in the dramatic scenery at Bomod-Ok (Big) Falls, admire the sheer force of Bokong Falls, then explore the striking landscape at Sumaguing Cave, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of The Hanging Coffins Of Sagada. Keep things going the next day: stroll through Echo Valley, hike along Kiltepan, and then see the interesting displays at Ganduyan Museum.

With its mountain location, Baguio has long been seen as a pleasant retreat from the lowland areas.
Get a sense of the local culture at Ben Cab Museum and Shrine of the Brown Madonna Church Cave. Get some historical perspective at Good Shepherd Convent and The Mansion. Traveling by car from Sagada to Baguio takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In May in Baguio, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 19°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 14th (Fri) before leaving for Manila.

The capital of the Philippines and the "Pearl of the Orient," Manila truly resembles a gem: rough on the outside, but glittering within.
Fort Santiago and Intramuros will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at San Agustin Church and Manila Cathedral. There's still lots to do: examine the collection at National Museum, walk around Rizal Park, stop by SM Mall of Asia, and take an in-depth tour of National Museum Of Anthropology.

Traveling by car from Baguio to Manila takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In May, Manila is somewhat warmer than Baguio - with highs of 40°C and lows of 31°C. You'll have a few hours on the 18th (Tue) to wrap things up before traveling home.
