Paris of the North

Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
Get some cultural insight at Latvijas Okupācijas muzejs and Vermanes Garden. Appreciate the collections at Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum and Doma Antikvariats. Spend the 14th (Sat) immersed in therapeutic waters at ESPA Riga. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Jurmala Beach, stop by Dzenis Amber, get engrossed in the history at National History Museum of Latvia, and don't miss a visit to Riga Town Hall Square.

Ventspils is a town in northwestern Latvia in the historical Courland region of Latvia, and is the sixth largest city in the country. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Edole Castle and Slitere Light. Step out of the city life by going to Ventspils Beach and The Riezupe Sand Caves. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Ventspils: Irbene Radio Astronomy Center (in Irbene) and Museum of the Kuldiga Region (in Kuldiga). It doesn't end there: examine the collection at Piejuras Brivdabas Muzejs and step into the grandiose world of The Castle of the Livonian order.

Liepāja, is a city in western Latvia, located on the Baltic Sea directly at 21°E. Kick off your visit on the 21st (Sat): steep yourself in history at House of Peter, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Anne’s Church, test your team's savvy at Kambaris, then contemplate the long history of Karosta Prison, and finally look for gifts at Peter Market. On the next day, get engrossed in the history at Liepaja Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Nicholas Orthodox Sea Cathedral, then kick back and relax at Jurmalciems beach, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rucava Church.
